About: Forbidden Foods are a local Australian company, founded in 2010 by two entrepreneurs, Marcus and Jarrod. Their vision is to “Feed the World with the World’s best”, and they have focused on superior quality superfoods. Their best known products include Black Rice and Red Rice, which can be found in over 1500 stores and restaurants in Australia, including Costco.
Challenge: As a rapidly growing company, supplying their customers’ increasing demand was a significant challenge for Forbidden Foods. They needed a logistics partner that could support their rapid growth and the challenges that come with delivery into major supermarkets and retail stores, as well as smaller boutiques.
Solution: Through working closely with the Freight People team, Forbidden Foods have been able to access a range of different freight carriers. This involves coordination with their 3PL to ensure all despatches run smoothly. When Forbidden Foods won a new contract with Costco, they relied on Freight People to ensure the time-slots and important consignments were monitored – resulting in a successful start to this important market.
